Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.
This is a very handsome, big framed, stout, sound pacing gelding. He only raced 26 times over the past eight years, but he’s been in training the whole time. His owner just liked to race at a couple of the local fairs each year. Sparky has been ridden regularly the past 30 days. He’s been on trails, through creeks, & amoung cows. He is naturally gaited and quite smooth. Sparky’s race trainer was an older gentleman who taught Sparky plow horse commands. It is quite amusing to see him respond to “Gee,” “Haw,” “Get Up,” and “Stand.” Sparky would be a good choice for someone that enjoys trail riding and wants a big, stout, handsome horse that is sound enough to take long miles.
