Beware of R Party a Standardbred was adopted for a 3rd time in July of 2008 by Julia Walker of Lexington, SC.
“Party is continuously improving, he is getting relaxed and confident and more into work. When Party was here the first month, he got nervous and tried to jump through all 6 ground poles, so I had to put aside this exercise. Last month, as he got much calmer, I decided to get back into it and put out only 4 poles on the ground. First lesson he didn’t like it, but walked and then trotted over. In the second lesson, he did it as if he had gone over poles all his life. Then, one day after spending a whole rainy day in the stall, he and his buddies were turned out in the area for 1/2 an hour. Party ran with everybody for a couple of cirlces and then turned and went over the poles at the trot with his tail up, turned back and went over from another side as we did in the lesson getting “ooohhh” from watching barn owners and my husband for his demonstration.”
