Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

BJ is a sound, big framed, kind-hearted, trotting gelding. He’s a lanky, raw boned, wooly teddy bear right now, but be assured he is going to mature into a magnificent individual. BJ is by the Triple Crown winning trotter Windsong’s Legacy who stood for $15,000 before he died. BJ trained at two but lacked the physical maturity necessary to be a stakes competitor. It didn’t appear he was going to be much better at three so his owners sent him to New Vocations where he can fulfill someone’s dream in a different area. BJ was amazing his first time under saddle. He was confident and quiet, stood like a gentleman to be mounted, and “gave” to the bit like a show horse. And he isn’t going to be three until April 30th! What a mind! What a nice foundation already in place for this horse to begin Dressage training or be developed for pleasure driving. BJ will mature a big bodied 16h+. He’s completely sound for any discipline and the most pleasant fellow to be around. I fully expect BJ to one day be a star ambassador for Standardbreds beyond racing.
