Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Buddha is a stunning dapple gray gelding. He raced 24 times and retired in September. He has only had a couple weeks of turn out but is quickly adjusting to retirement. Buddha has a very kind disposition. He loves attention and being handled. Buddha is the type of horse that will quickly bond to his next owner. Heretired with a minor strain to suspensory on his left front. He has some thickening in bothankles from racing but is moving sound. It would be best for him to have a month or two off before he starts back in any consistent training. The video below is current and shows that he is moving well and has a nice fluid stride and wonderful canter. Buddha should be fine for any type of flat work such as dressage or pleasure riding. He may be suitable for some jumping in the future. Buddha has no vices.
