Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Burmese is a well bred gelding who is unraced. He is by War Chant and as a 2 yr old sold for over 400k. This gorgeous gelding was in race training, made it to the track but not to is first race. While at the track Burmese became very sour and would not work. He was x-rayed, ultra sounded, blocked and no injuries were found. Burmese was then retired. He was gelded and turned out for a month. Now with New Vocations Burmese is starting to work under saddle again. His disposition has improved greatly and he is willing to walk and trot. He still is lazy at the canter but will continue forward with consistent encouragement. Burmese would make an excellent hunter prospect with his elegant look and quiet nature. He is young and would do best with a skilled hand to bring him along but for the most part he is very easy to work with and ride. He is still growing and should mature at 16h. He has great ground manners and is adjusting well to being out with other geldings.
