Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Hometown is a cute gelding with a lot of personality. He raced from age 2-5 and retired in 2008. He has a heart of gold and truly loved to race. In his last race he strained both front suspensories but won the race! He has been fully rehabbed and has been sound since.
His current adopter has enjoyed pleasure riding this year and he is like a little Cadillac, does whatever and goes where ever you want him to. He is being returned due to lack of time on the part of his adopter.
Hometown does have a shorter stride and maybe better suited for pleasure riding and has been in a western saddle. He should be sound for any flat work, pleasure riding and light recreational jumping. Hometown is used to daily turn out. He loves food and will talk to everyone during feeding time.
