    Update

Unnamed Renowned Cat 2011 by Curlin was bred and raised by Stonestreet Stables, located in the heart of the Bluegrass. When it became apparent he didn't have the makings of a higher-level racehorse, Stonestreet Stables decided to donate him to New Vocations so he could find a second career as a show horse, where he could shine like he deserved. Since this gelding didn't have a name at the name, our Lexington staff affectionately nicknamed him "Curly" to pay homage to his sire, Curlin, to whom he bore a striking resemblance. The name "Curly" also perfectly complemented his youthful and rambunctious personality!"Curly" was adopted in September of 2013 by Katerine F., a Wisconsin trainer who started him over fences. When he turned 4 years old, Curly was purchase by Courtney S. of NY, who fell in love with him and renamed him Southern Charm because of his sweet personality. It was clear very early on that Curly enjoyed the show ring. He has brought home championships and top ribbons from Old Salem Farm horse show in New York; the Fairfield County Hunt Club horse show in Connecticut, the Ox Ridge Hunt Club horse show in Connecticut, the Lake Placid horse show in New York and the Capital Challenge horse show in Maryland. Curly is currently leading the TAKE2 Thoroughbred Hunter Division at the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Fla. He will most likely be the circuit champion for the season; he is trained and shown by Lainie Wimberly of Brigadoon Show Stables.
