Are you looking for a versatile gelding that takes it all in stride? Strike Force is the guy for you. He’s a 15.2hh Michigan bred trotter with a heart of gold. He has a beautiful head and eye that ties well into his balanced body style.
“Force” is a solid citizen with a level head that seems to enjoy riding and barely batted an eyelash the first time he was ridden. In the pasture, Force seems to fit somewhere towards the middle of the pack. He is not one to start fights and fits in easily with new horse. He is easy to catch and a fairly easy keeper.
In the barn and under saddle, he has been quiet and easy to manage. He stands great in the cross ties and loves to be groomed. The first time we put a saddle on, he didn’t even move. The same went for the first time we mounted him. Force retired sound and has no lameness issues.
He was a breeze to ride and a great reminder at how level headed the Standardbred can be. He’s got comfortable gaits and is learning to adjust them well. He can walk, trot, and has offered a few canter steps so far. He is very respectful to your aids and even listens well to leg aids. He’s a quick learner, so he could easily be taught to do anything you wanted to do. He’s still learning to ride on a looser rein but has relaxed considerably already.
Force would be best suited for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider, until he gets a little more time under his belt. He is sound, has TONS of potential, and loves to work. He could literally take you anywhere and is a blast to ride. He’s got just enough spunk to be a ton of fun but is grounded enough to be a safe mount. With his great looks and mind he will be a fun horse for trails or the show arena and a wonderful horse to enjoy in 2014!
