Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Kara is a lovely mare with a great disposition. She would make a wonderful pleasure/ trail horse. She hasn’t had much transitional training but is naturally very easy to ride. She is very much a no fuss mare which is hard to find. Kara raced 21 times and won $92,ooo. She was retired due to a breathing issue, which was corrected by surgery in February. She has been fully rehabbed and is now being ridden a couple times a week with no problems. Kara would be best suited for flat work and pleasure riding. You can only hear a breathing noise when she is asked to canter for long periods of time. It doesn’t effect her but we do feel she is best suited for lower level riding. She is currently adjusted to turn out well and gets along with the other mares just fine. Kara would also be suitable for a sporthorse or sport pony broodmare. She has nice conformation and would surely throw a flashy foal.
