This beautiful horse is as kind and gentle as his large doe eyes suggest. He is simply calm, kind and sweet with people and horses. He is a joy to be around, groom, ride and handle. It is hard to imagine that he would have ever had the edge to want to win a race, he is so relaxed and submissive. He spent 6 years at the track running 61 starts. The racing took its toll on his left knee, however he is sound for recreational riding. Optimist was born to trail ride; he loves it and is a natural. He jumped the ditch in the pictures shown without hesitating a bit on the first try.
