After having the winter off, Leaps has just returned to work and she really has “leaped” into her new career. Always a pleasure to deal with on the ground, she has now settled into a new vocation under saddle and is excelling at it. Leaps is going very calmly and has learned to flex and relax on the flat and is a fun, comfortable ride with paces showing cadence and balance. Started only 1 week ago over ground poles, she is now doing small cross rails and shows enormous scope and potential. She is obviously green and will need a more experienced rider but with the right person who gives her plenty of time and a light hand, this mare has enormous talent over fences. She is sound with clean legs and without injury. She is also free of all vices.

Leaps is a mare that just loves to be petted and groomed and does not even oppose having her ears scrubbed with a stiff brush when muddy. She has been turned out with other mares and geldings and gets along fine with either. She has been trail ridden alone and in company and does well. She will stand untied in the aisle to be groomed, tacked up or clipped and is also good to shoe and bathe. She will require a home where she can be turned out with other horses. Leaps raced 27 times and retired in November because she was no longer competitive.
