Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Seldom do we get a trotting mare with the refined head, throat, and neck of Malba Queen. She has a beautiful face, with large intelligent eyes, a very trim throat, and a long swan neck. This mare is big bodied with a large frame and very correct, strong feet and legs. She’s had nine foals, but only one raced, so she was downsized. Queenie trained at two, but did not race. She was adopted to develop as a Roadster, but after a few months it was evident she wasn’t comfortable in such an extreme frame. Since her return Queenie has been ridden on trails several times. She’s light in the bridle and sets her head like a show horse. She has a nice motor and a natural smooth rack. Queenie has the potential to be a serious trail horse. All of her gaits are smooth and ground covering. She stands to be mounted. She likes to be moving, and she goes where you point her. She would also make an excellent cross on warmbloods or any breed where a big body, bold trot, long neck, and beautiful face is desired. Though Queenie racks under saddle, she is a trotter with a strong pedigree. She will produce foals that trot if bred to a Warmblood or foals that rack if bred to a racking horse. Queenie would make a nice companion for another mare. She is pretty to have around, gets along well with others and is wise to herd dynamics. She is a sweet mare that needs someone to open their home and heart to her.
