Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.
Kendal Quest, a very successful Standardbred was adopted two years ago by Michigan State University’s Dr. Brian Nielsen, a professor of Animal Science, has continued the tradition of having a horse and chariot at the annual MSU Homecoming Parade.
This year, Nielsen’s daughter was able to walk in front of Kendal, while showing her team spirit! We are so excited that this great horse came through our program and what a great way to promote the Standardbred breed! Kendal earned almost $500,000 during his racing career. Kendal is also teaching Dr. Nielsen’s eight year old daughter how to ride and he is “so trustworthy”!
