The New Vocations Pony Club Challenge
The New Vocations Pony Club Challenge is a unique opportunity for United States Pony Clubs members to partner with retired racehorses. The Challenge is designed to showcase the versatility of retired Thoroughbred racehorses and allow Pony Club members an educational tool to enhance their learning experience. Adopted Horses will be eligible to compete at the 2018 USPC Championships East, which will be held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mills Spring, N.C., on July 25-29.
- New Vocations will provide 50 retired racehorses free to current USPC members, Horsemasters or Riding Centers in good standing who have achieved a minimum of their C-1 riding certification and will waive the adoption fee for these horses
- Each adopted Thoroughbred will come with an $1,800 stipend that may be used for transportation, training, competition, veterinary care or any other expenses associated with the adopted horse
