Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

This is a very handsome, big, sound pacing gelding. Lucky 7 as his groom fondly called him, because of the number seven in his face, has been trained 8 – 10 months and absolutely showed no desire to be a racehorse. He convinced his owner and his trainer that they were wasting their time and money, and because they really care about their horses, Lucky got to come to New Vocations. He’s a very agreeable horse and took to riding like that’s what he wanted to do all along. Did I say this fellow is smart? Lucky is big boned, big framed, and completely sound. He’s just turning three so he’ll mature over 16.1h and with his massive build will appear to be 16.3h. Lucky is quite pretty, very willing, and gives to the bit nicely. He would make an impressive police or reenactment mount, as well as a durable all terrain vehicle. If you want big, sound, young, and pleasant, this is the fellow.
