Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

MD Has was 18 yrs old, no longer needed for breeding, but quite healthy and already well broke to ride, yet no one stepped up to take her. Then she was 19, and still nobody was interested in opening their home to her. In the meantime, Patricia Clark had developed MD Has’ son East Meets West into a very nice competitive trail horse. It bothered Patricia that no one was willing to give this nice mare a home. She finally just stepped up, herself, and adopted MD. Here are Patricia’s comments. Here are a few pics from MD’s first trail ride today. She was very brave and loved playing in the creek. She is a bulldozer through trail debris. When behind she walks very quietly and when out in front she is booking it down the trail. She has a nice foxtrot and then an easy trot that you can sit. It seems to me like she’ll really enjoy trail riding and be good at it with a bit more practice. A+ for today’s lesson.” Thank You, Patricia! You are a New Vocations HERO!
