Sometimes good things come in smaller packages and this guy is an excellent example of that. Cute face, good mind and a willingness to do his job, all at the young age of four. He may still look like a young horse, but Heart is very grown up under saddle. The video below is of his very first ride and not only that, it is in an indoor arena which is completely new for him and he never batted an eye at his surroundings while he worked. He acted like it was all no big deal and he just raced a two months ago. The winter between the 3 and 4 year old year is when most geldings put on their biggest growth spurt, and he has put on more body mass this winter.

In turn out, Heart is toward the bottom of the pecking order but has begun to defend himself when picked on. He is also easy to handle on the ground and just follows his handler around. Heart is still very green and young, so he will require a rider that has worked with young horses and has the knowledge to bring him along in his training. He will be suitable for any discipline. His only vice is that he can be a little defensive of his food if you walk into his stall, but he responds to a vocal reprimand quickly. That’s just a young horse testing the boundaries.
