Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

The beautiful black gelding has it all. He is a great mover, has a good disposition, and is sound for any discipline. Sargent was a $475,000 yearling. He is by Vindication. Sargent officially retired from the track in November because he was no longer competitive. He raced only 9 times. Sargent was gelded shortly after he arrived in November, has healed up and is going well but has not been turned out with other horses yet. He has been doing well under saddle. Has been started over ground poles and free jumped. He has the movement and disposition to excel in the hunter ring. Sargent is a classy horse with good ground manners. His only vice is that he cribs in his stall, which can be stopped with a strap. Sargent did have knee surgery to remove a chip in January 2009, he was rehabbed, raced twice, and then retired. It has been x-rayed and vetted sound for jumping or any other discipline.
