Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.
Multiple Graded Stakes Winner “Spite the Devil” AKA Diego, raced 46 times over the course of 5 years, placing in 20 of his races and earning an amazing grand total of $849,512. Diego ran his last race in February of 2007 and was donated to New Vocations in the Spring, 2010. Sandy Seabrook, Marketing Manager for New Vocations, adopted “Diego” in July of 2010.
Since then, Sandy and Diego have spent their time doing some low-level recreational jumping and exploring the nearby trails with fellow retired Thoroughbreds. They will be participating in some hunter paces and local schooling shows in the near future, including the New Vocations Charity Horse Show.
