Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.
This horse would be an exceptional opprotunity for someone who wants to go straight to the showring this winter, with a calm beautiful, experienced and 100% sound horse. He sold for the 2003 Keeneland Sale record breaking amount of $270,000. He has exceptional breeding as the direct son of Silver Charm, who won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness in 1997. His blue blood really shows in his disposition, he is kind, patient, willing and calm; true nobility. He never raced as a 2 year old, because true to his disposition, he just wasn’t very competetive at the track and never clocked good enough training times. His handlers loved him so much that they kept him on to school as a dressage horse. He was shown hunters, has done hunter paces and even was ridden in a fox hunt behaving calm and cool as usual. On our farm he has fit in seamlessly. He is fun to ride, a willing jumper who can see his distance. On the trails a rabbit jumped out from under him literally just as he almost stepped on it, surprising the rider but not fazing this gelding at all. He would be a great opportunity for a younger rider, a 10 year old rode him during the past year. He is affectionate and kind always whinnying to his previous owner when she came to the farm.
