Standing in the gap for retired racehorses providing a safety-net through rehabilitation, education, & placement in qualified, caring homes.

Touch is a well mannered flashy gelding who ran his last race in June 2009. He loves attention, being groomed, and worked with. He has been with us for a couple months and has just bloomed into a great individual. Touch raced 48 times and was retired due to soreness in his left knee. The same knee had surgery to repair a slab fracture several years ago. He returned to the track after he was fully rehabbed and competed for the last two years successfully. With just a short amount of time turned out he is now moving sound and is very comfortable. He will be suitable for flat work such as trail riding, dressage or hunter flat classes. He is a sensible guy and quick learner. He enjoys turn out with other geldings and is very easy to handle. Touch does sometimes crib when stalled but it can be easily managed and he doesn’t do it outside.
